Pranicura hasn't healed it, but it keeps it from getting irritated and is soothing. I'm a big fan of this cream. In my experience, the only thing that was effective for a chronic fissure was surgery. That being said, I did find that calmoseptine was helpful and that is similar to Pranicura.
