The deepest holes in the Umpqua’s tidewater zone are less fruitful because they contain little food. A good boat ramp in Reedsport is centrally located in the sturgeon-fishing area. Also, the ramp in Winchester Bay allows boaters to easily run up to the 12 and 19 buoy areas.
