We have visited Zion nearly every year for over 20 years, and although it receives more visitors than ever before, we still enjoy our visits to the main canyon, thanks to the shuttle. We have also found other places in the park where few people go.Downfall: everything is a little too crowded together. While they have a lot of equipment, it seems like a few too many machines were pushed into the space. Also, they only had 3 squat racks (opposed to the 4 at Layton), 1 decline bench (opposed to the 2 at Layton), 2-3 regular benches (opposed to 4 at Layton).The trade off is how crowded it is. You could go midday on a weekday and you’ll still have to stand in line for the squat rack. I alternate between VASA and the YMCA.
