Jun 21, 2020 · There is always a chance of a hidden twin especially one 2d ultrasound. One could be literally behind the other. I had my first ultrasound at just about 5 weeks and all we could see was 1...but my hubby is convinced it is twins! Usually confirming twins takes a little more time into the pregnancy.

Usually with that you’ll see two sacs. So if you only saw one you probably didn’t have twins. Like I said, I know it's rare. But it does happen that identical twins sometimes share a sac and are missed at first. I know it's extremely unlikely. I'm just wondering if anyone in this forum has had the experience.I hope you're right.
