Remove the forearm and look in the forearm to see if there is a picture of how the rings are supposed to go. I think there is a sticky on the Browning lovers forum about this. New to the forum with a Browning Auto-5 story and question: My father bought the shotgun while serving at the end of the Korean war. Based on the serial # it is a 1954 or 1955 Belgian made humpback. It's easy to take the stock off to get to the return spring, and trigger assembly out, and barrel off, and recoil spring assembly.
