Though thus far, it does seem to cause more problems than it's worth, especially if anyone of you have had to replace a windshield. It's ~$1100-$1300 to replace the windshield with calibration. There is a chance any shade can interfere with the camera which could result in a wreck. I guess it's good that I am under warranty but the trust is definitely being hindered in Subaru. I also understand things like this can happen with technology. It is inevitable. Just happening twice in 2 months is really frustrating. I love this car. My 2017 XT has about eight (8) separate booklets, all in the black plastic folder in the glove compartment, a total about 2 inches thick, all titled as "Owners Manuals" for various things.
